Ode to an iPhone

I never thought these words would come out of my mouth, but the amount of usage my iPhone gets is shameful.

I’m as big an Apple guy as anybody, was right there when the iPhone first came out, and when the 3G came out I stood in line with a co-worker in the middle of the work day.  I’m dedicated for sure, but not sure what has happened here.  My iPhone has become, well . . . a phone.  Doug Landback (resident agency Microsoft evangelist) is already drafting his “I told you so” email.

I almost forgot, I use it as an iPod during the day while I’m coding away.  So it’s become a phone, and an iPod.  Which leads me to ask, is that all it really ever was? I feel lost.  I need a support group or something.  Anyone out there have any advice.

My recent Wired came with an article on some pretty cool apps, so maybe that will rekindle the flame.  I’d hate for my iPhone to feel cheap, especially so close to Valentines Day.
